Single dad helps elderly lady mow her lawn, soon gets a shocking call from her lawyer

After a single father helps an elderly woman trim her lawn, the lawyer for the woman surprises him with a phone call.

Felix, a single father, was taking it easy at home when he heard the mower go by. He went outside to see whether anybody was cutting their grass at that moment since he was curious. The old neighbor, Mrs. McAllister, caught him off guard.

Mowing her yard was clearly out of her league. Furthermore, she was hardly able to walk with the aid of her cane; Felix volunteered to assist her, but he couldn't help but question why her son, who never paid her any visits, wasn't helping out more.

Accepting Felix's assistance, Mrs. McAllister was pleased. When she needed assistance around the home, he was always there for her.

Mrs. McAllister welcomed her neighbor inside, handed him a drink of lemonade, and thanked him for his generosity. On top of that, she informed him to be patient since she had a gift to provide him.

A few moments later, she reappeared, this time carrying an enigmatic container. She gave it to him and said that it was a treasured possession of hers that she now wanted Felix to inherit.

She persisted, and he hesitated, saying he couldn't take the package. After that, she presented him with an apple bag to give to his daughter Suzie.

Suzie informed Felix that the apples had papers inside with what seemed to be codes on them once he returned home. Her father had brought home a package, so she thought they were its contents. Felix refused Suize's request that she open the package. In his mind, it was only right that he give Mrs. McAllister the package.

He dropped off the package to Mrs. McAllister's residence the next day. Upon receiving no response from her, he made the decision to enter. Regrettably, she seemed to be asleep while really deceased; she was in her poor state. She probably died while we were sleeping.

After waiting a few days, Felix finally got around to looking for any information on the package he had received online. Its high historical worth and potential sale price of more than $250,000 caught him off guard.

Felix felt a mix of delight and fear. Ultimately, it was Mrs. McAllister's desire, and he was unsure whether he should retain the box.

Someone contacted Felix via phone at some point. "Mrs. McAllister's attorney, Tim, is here today. I'd like to meet up with you immediately. Where are you at the moment?

They rendezvoused in a neighboring café the next day. However, the attorney was accompanied by Henry, who happened to be Mrs. McAllister's son

Listen, Lexi, I'm going to cut to the chase. My mom's home was broken into, and a little box with dials on top was taken. An heirloom of great value to the family. As you were the only occupant of her residence, I extended an opportunity for you to make the correct choice.

"Do you really believe I pilfered from your mom?" Felix shouted. "I was thanked by Mrs. McAllister with the box for mowing her lawn—a task that you ought to have performed for her!"

That box would never have been given to you by Mom!" "Hey Felix," Henry remarked, poking him in the eye with his finger. "A well-known craftsman sold it to my great-great-grandfather, who was a prominent politician!" Only two other things on Earth are identical to it! In exchange for the return of the package, I will pay you $1,000. What do you think?

“No.” So Felix stood up. So long as you're interested in purchasing it, you may do so whenever I auction it off. Alright, Henry, farewell

The day after that, Felix visited a local sales house.

A lady called Ellen accompanied him and Mr. Whitaker, an air-headed guy with an elitist accent, into a back room for the assessment.

"I can confirm right away that the mark on the bottom is from a skilled craftsman," Mr. Whitaker said. So, yes, sir, this is a significant thing. Among only two such specimens on Earth.

Looking down at the box, Ellen knelt. "Merely, that is beautiful..."Might I inquire as to the status of your provenance paperwork?

My apologies? Felix let out a yell.

"You must present an authenticated certificate, or any other credible document that establishes the item's legitimacy and your possession of it," Ellen instructed.

Suddenly, Felix jumped to his feet and declared his intention to go. However, they wouldn't budge, insisting that they needed to notify the authorities so he could account for his acquisition of such a priceless item. However, Felix quickly left the location.

He resolved that night to break into Mrs. McAllister's house in search of the documents. A flashlight, however, obscured his view as he stepped through the glass. Henry was the one.

"Felix, you're not quite so mighty now, are you?" Hendry spoke up.

It doesn't appear like this. All I need is—" Feigned fear, Felix said.

"I am familiar with the box's documentation," Henry said. You attempted to con the auction business, and they contacted me since the box had ties to my family. I did inform them that you had stolen it—"

After that, Henry issued an ultimatum to Felix. Either he was going to report him to the authorities or he would have delivered the package by 8:00 am the next day.

Felix sprinted home. The box his neighbor wanted him to keep remained with him after much deliberation. Next, he plundered the
