Lunchroom Ladies Brownies
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Frosting:
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth.
Add the sugar and mix well. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
Stir in the flour, vanilla extract, and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan.
For the Frosting:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the milk and cocoa powder until smooth and well combined.
Remove from heat and gradually whisk in the powdered sugar until the frosting is smooth and thick. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the frosting over the cooled brownies and spread it evenly. Let the frosting set before cutting into squares.
