Fluppy Milk Buns
Ingredients:
3 cups of flour
4 tablespoon of sugar
¼ tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of instant yeast
1 egg
Baking powder
1 cup of milk
3 tablespoon of unsalted butter (softened)
Confectioner's or powdered sugar for coating
Method:
If you are using powders milk, mix with warm water.
In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, salt, baking powder, egg, softened butter and milk and whisk. Add the yeast and allow it to sit for 2min.
Pour in the sifted flour, mix with hands or wooden spatula until it's smooth and elastic.
Form a ball or round dough and transfer it into a greased bowl. Brush some butter on the surface of the dough and cover with a plastic wrap so it rise. Allow it to rise for 45min or until it doubles.
Transfer the dough into a slightly floured surface and cut into flat balls.
Place the balls or buns into a greased baking pan. Brush the surface with melted butter or whisked egg yolk. This gives the buns a nice appearance after baking. Allow it to rise again for about 30min
Preheat the oven to 188°c and bake for 15min.
